🎖️ Jonathan Wilhite
Veteran Therapist | U.S. Army Retired | Family Restoration Advocate
Jonathan Wilhite is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and retired U.S. Army veteran who understands firsthand how military service can fracture the very families it aims to protect. After serving 20 years in the Army, Jonathan faced the invisible wounds of war—PTSD that, in its earliest stages, left one of his own children injured and battling trauma of their own.
This experience shaped Jonathan’s calling: not just to heal himself, but to advocate for the whole-family mental health care for veterans. He believes that healing must begin with the father, and that every child abandoned—intentionally or unintentionally—deserves reconnection, restoration, and truth.
“Healing from the Dad down begins with him.” For every child whose father came home from war but never truly returned—it’s time to talk. It’s time to listen. It’s time to understand that healing starts within.
Jonathan’s journey from GED to master’s degree was fueled by the encouragement of his wife, Neisa. Today, he offers trauma-informed therapy through Wilhite Counseling & Coaching, serving families, veterans, and survivors with compassion, drawing on his lived experience, and offering hope.
